A major outreach effort for us comes through Clinique Santé De Siloé, which was founded by Dr. Oris Guillaume and is located in the Charrier neighborhood of Cap-Haitien. The mission of the clinic is to save lives through Jesus Christ, and to have an impact for the Gospel in the areas it serves.

Saving Lives

Since its opening on January 12, 2015, we have been serving patients who would otherwise have no access to medical care. We are able to treat typical illnesses for the area, which would otherwise become life-threatening due to a lack of treatment. Additionally, we are able to treat wounds and do very simple surgeries.

While we charge a small stipend for service, no one is turned away because of their inability to pay. We have a well stocked pharmacy, and any medications we have on hand are provided to our patients free of charge.

Staff

Our staff currently consists of two doctors, two nurses, a lab technician, an administrator, and a facilities manager. All permanent personnel are Haitian nationals. We provide support from overseas, but operational responsibility is in the hands of the local staff.

Education

Education is a key aspect of the services we provide. We devote one day a week to provide education and treatment for diabetes and hypertension. These are very common chronic conditions among the people we serve, and we want to address the underlying issues, not just the symptoms.

Mobile Teams

Not only does the clinic provide services to the local area where it is situated, we also reach out into remote areas several times a year. We bring our staff and overseas volunteers into villages that otherwise have no access at all to medical care. In addition to our doctors and nurses, the pharmacy comes to the village as well. We are able to provide life-saving treatment to hundreds of patients over a period of several days. We work in these villages consistently, and are able to see the impact of our work over time. Health is improving for people who otherwise would find medical treatment completely out of reach.
