Here is a letter from Dr. Oris Guillaume, Haiti Cheri’s CEO and pastor of Connection Church.

Dear friend,

Connection Church, meeting in Roswell, is a church plant welcoming everyone, and is especially home to the Haitian immigrant community. The church's motto is “We connect, we believe and we belong together.” The congregation compassionately emphasizes education, evangelism and entrepreneurship for people. New immigrants coming to our area are struggling for resources, and food is a big need. To assist, we have a program called Connect to Our Neighbor (C2ON). It functions under the umbrella of Haiti Cheri Harvest Life Ministries, a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.

The holiday season is especially hard for those who are hungry. Imagine seeing all of the holiday festivities, but you have empty pockets yourself. For Thanksgiving, we were able to distribute 80 turkeys to feed 80 families. One immigrant parent came to me and said, “my daughter was asking ‘what would we be eating for Thanksgiving?’”, and I said “the Lord will provide.” This parent said, “by giving a turkey to everyone at the church, you have answered my prayer for Thanksgiving.”

Well, now Christmas is upon us and that child asked a very important question. The Lord will provide for Christmas as well. We want to respond and demonstrate the Lord’s provision. We are raising funds with a goal of $10,000. This will allow us to provide a $250 gift card for 40 families to feed them during the holiday. Your gift will have a big impact. It’s crucial.  Here’s how you can give:

If you give by mail, just note Christmas on the memo line of your check.

In the story of The Good Samaritan as taught by Jesus, He said the neighbor is the one who has mercy. Would you consider being a neighbor to these wonderful people who are learning the Gospel at Connection Church and putting it into action in their lives?

With Gratitude,
Dr. Oris Guillaume
